The first thought that came to mind when we saw Jason Livingston's fine Toyota was, "Dang, how long did it take to mask off and paint the zillion different colors and stripes on that thing?" The paint scheme on Jason's Toyota must have taken some patience and countless hours to pull off. However impressive, this artistic paintjob is not the only thing that makes this Toy' stand out at a show, cruise, or the local Mickey D's parking lot. Jason, with the help of Jody Hall at the Drop Shop, Jody Goodwill at JAGO Graphics, McKinnely Sherril and Pugz at House of Style, and Chris Ellis and Amanda Carnett at the Paint Shop, has spent the better part of two years building up the type of high-quality vehicle you see here.

Jody Hall at the Drop Shop in Pikeville, Kentucky, gave the suspension and chassis a full makeover. He started by installing AIM drop spindles paired with Firestone airbags to set the front down firmly on the concrete. Then he had the gall to chop off the factory frame from the cab back, knowing that despite what the po-po thinks, a knowledgeable fabricator with excellent welding skills can definitely improve on factory equipment.

Using 2x3-inch steel tubing, Jody built a new rear frame clip for a better-looking and cleaner rear suspension setup. He used a chrome four-link out back coupled with Firestone airbags to slam the rear to the pavement. Jody also performed a 2-inch body drop that tucks 18-inch Enkei Spider chrome wheels wrapped in Nitto 205/35R18 rubber. Jason then added a Flowmaster exhaust and a Downey chrome header to give his four-cylinder engine a bit of a rumble as well as power.

Next, the body was completely smoothed by ditching the door and tailgate handles and other factory annoyances and capping the bed with a Sprint shell. Once all was smooth, Jody Goodwill from JAGO Graphics in State Road, North Carolina, went to town on the crazy paint scheme. After that, House of Style worked in tweed throughout the interior, and Jason installed an Eclipse deck and a PPI amp to power his mids and highs. Soon after, Jason rolled to the Texas Heat Wave, Indy Truck Bash, and Southeast Mini-Truckin' Nationals to pick up about 20 trophies. That made it all worthwhile.
